Karlskrona is a city located in southeastern Sweden, on the Baltic Sea coast. It is the capital of Blekinge County and has a population of approximately 66,000 people. Karlskrona was founded in 1680 by King Charles XI of Sweden as a naval base and is known for its well-preserved historic naval architecture, which has earned it the designation of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city is also a popular tourist destination, with attractions such as the Marine Museum, Fredrikskyrkan Church and the beautiful archipelago islands surrounding Karlskrona.
