Olofström is a town and seat of Olofström Municipality in Blekinge County in southern Sweden. The town is located approximately 25 kilometres northwest of Karlshamn and has a population of approximately 13,150 people. Olofström is known for its beautiful nature and outdoor opportunities as it is located near several lakes, forests and nature reserves. In addition to its natural beauty, Olofström has a strong industrial history, and the town is home to several manufacturing companies, including Volvo Construction Equipment and Jernbro. The Olofström Industrial Museum showcases the town’s industrial heritage and provides insight into the development of Swedish manufacturing. Olofström also has several cultural and historical landmarks, including the Olofström Church dating back to the 1933s. The town hosts an annual market fair, Olofströms Marknad, which is a popular event for both locals and visitors from all over the country.
